Anti-family Entertainment
What is pornographic to some is not to others. Instead of maintaining
the integrity of our screen definition for pornography and letting such "judgement
calls" slip through, we "catch them" with our "Anti-Family Entertainment"
screen. This screen is defined as follows:
Any company that
produces video, audio, print, or live entertainment marketed to the
public that is gratuitously violent, vulgar, contains partial or full
nudity, is overtly sexual in nature, glorifies rape and/or abuse of
women, reflects homosexual behavior as a legitimate moral lifestyle,
promotes homosexual marriage, has themes that mock Judeo Christian
traditions or beliefs, or is sexually suggestive with children.
This screen ensures that your
investment dollars don’t support such companies as the broadcasters of
anti-family television shows, and producers of Marilyn Manson recordings.
With this approach, we believe we eliminate technicalities, thus remain
consistent in our definitions.

Companies |
Sony Corporation of
America (SNE)
is a company that produces and distributes
software titles when rated by the Entertainment
Software Rating Board www.esrb.com earn a Mature
17+ score. Some of their software titles
include: "Cardinal Syn" which includes Animated
Blood & Gore and Animated Violence; "Playboy
Screensaver II" which includes Strong Sexual
Content; "Playboy Screensaver - The Women of
Playboy" (Adults Only 18+) which includes Mature
Sexual Themes as well as many other titles like
the ones listed here.
Target Corporation
(TGT) is
sponsoring, through its advertisements, a
program that contains some of the most
graphically sexual, profane and violent material
aired on television. For example, the WB's The
Surreal Life, premiered its second season
Sunday, January 11, 2004. The Surreal Life
glorifies pornography and reckless sexual
exploits. The show forces a group of "D-List"
celebrities to live together in a house and have
their lives and daily activities taped. The
result is a how that tests the viewer's patience
and often sinks to the lowest common denominator
for entertainment. Involved in this new season
are Tammy Faye Messner, Erik Estrada (C.H.I.P.S.),
Traci Bingham (Baywatch), Rob Van Winkle
(Vanilla Ice), Trishelle Canatella (Real World:
Las Vegas), and last, but not least,
pornographic film actor Ron Jeremy.
In one shocking episode, porn star, Ron Jeremy,
placed his open mouth on the exposed breast of a
woman while other adult film actors lounged
naked in the pool, watching with delight. Keep
in mind that this aired on free over-the-air
network television at a time when millions of
children were in the viewing audience. |
